TACOMA, Wash. (AP) -- Three of the six people charged with helping Maurice Clemmons after he gunned down four Lakewood police officers are scheduled to stand trial together on May 17.
The News Tribune reports that a Pierce County judge rejected arguments that Rickey Hinton, Latanya Clemmons and Quiana Williams should be tried separately.
They pleaded not guilty to multiple counts of rendering criminal assistance.
Prosecutors say that Williams and Hinton _ Maurice Clemmons' half brother -- helped the killer after he gunned down Lakewood police Sgt. Mark Renninger and officers Tina Griswold, Gregory Richards and Ronald Owens on Nov. 29 at a Parkland coffee shop.
Latanya Clemmons is accused of helping Darcus Allen, the alleged getaway driver.
