Two 16-year-olds have been indicted for shootings, one of which occurred just hours after the funeral for 19-year-old Andre Payton.
A Multnomah County Grand Jury indicted Antonio Leron Cabine Jr. and Ryan O'Neill Davis-Pinney on charges of attempted murder, attempted assault in the first degree and unlawful use of a weapon, two of which are Measure 11 crimes that both carry mandatory sentences of 7 years and 6 months in prison.
Davis-Pinney is charged with shooting Cabine on Oct. 5. Cabine was shot in both legs while he was walking along Northeast Rodney Avenue after attending the funeral of Payton, who had been killed in Downtown Portland on Sept. 26.
Cabine was allegedly shot for his role in an earlier shooting that occurred at a residence in the 3800 block of North Gantenbein Avenue. No one was injured in that shooting.
Both youth are currently being held at the Multnomah County Juvenile Detention Center. No suspect has yet been arrested for the murder of Payton. MORE: Stories and video about Andre Payton
