Come experience the fusion jazz funk sounds of the Devin Phillips Band during a free show at Dawson Park. The free Dawson Park Concert Series presentation takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday July 21 on N. Stanton between Williams and Vancouver avenues.
Saxophonist Devin Phillips is a New Orleans transplant who came to Portland after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. He studied at the prestigious New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and has played and toured with greats such as Wynton Marsalis, Eddie Palmieri, The Headhunters, Lenny Kravitz and others.
