Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux echoed Jackson’s excitement, welcoming G-Unit Studios to the city. Mayor Arceneaux praised Shreveport’s rich cultural heritage and talented workforce, emphasizing their perfect fit with the studio’s goals. To commemorate the occasion, Jackson received a key to the city and was honored with a special “50 Cent Day” in Shreveport. G-Unit Studios, located in downtown Shreveport, is poised for further expansion within the city.

Founded in 2003, Jackson’s G-Unit Film & Television Inc. has a successful track record, having produced popular shows like “Power” and its spin-offs for Starz. However, in 2023, Jackson ended his partnership with Starz and opted for a non-exclusive deal with Fox, citing dissatisfaction with how Starz handled G-Unit’s productions.
