Celebrate Oregon's 155th birthday in style at a birthday party with Pink Martini's Thomas Lauderdale on Friday, Feb. 14 at noon in the Oregon History Museum, 1200 SW Park Ave. in Portland.
Former Governors Barbara Roberts and Ted Kulongoski will also join Lauderdale in a special musical tribute to our great state. Admission to the cake cutting and to the museum and library is free all day.
Presidents' Day, Feb. 17, is also the final day to view the Oregon Historical Society's popular presidential exhibit Windows on America. To celebrate the exhibit's final weekend, the museum will be open until 7 p.m. from Friday through Monday.
See new artifacts added for the final weeks, including a pair of Martha Washington's earrings, Paul Revere's pen, and a signed copy of Woodrow Wilson's Fourteen Points.
Museum hours are Monday - Saturday from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. and Sunday from Noon - 5 p.m. Museum admission is free for OHS members and Multnomah County residents. Visitor information and a list of current exhibits can be found at WWW.OHS.ORG.
