Friday is the last day you can safely mail your ballots and know they will make it to the ballot box on time for the May 17 special election. In Oregon, a postmark is not enough to validate your vote.
If you are unable – or haven't decided yet how you want to vote – you can still drop your ballots in any number of drop boxes around town. The deadline to use an official drop box is 8 p.m. on May 17.
