De Paul Centers to Hold a Sale

De Paul Treatment Centers' Alumni Association is conducting a rummage sale on Saturday, Aug. 12, between noon and 5 p.m. at 1312 S.W. Washington St.
Items being sold will include clothes, household goods and toys. Proceeds will be used to support future alumni events.
The De Paul Alumni Association works to create a safe, fun and positive community where continued recovery is supported. The association is open to all alumni of De Paul Treatment Centers. The association promotes the mission and philosophy of De Paul Treatment Centers by sharing experiences, strengths and hopes to help clients and alumni in recovery.

De Paul is an independent, nonprofit agency that provides treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. Treatment is provided to men, women and, especially, young people who cannot pay for services. It is an accredited, independent nonprofit agency funded in part by Multnomah and Washington counties, the state of Oregon and private donations.
De Paul was founded in Portland in 1974 by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul to shelter homeless alcoholics. It became an independent treatment center in 1978, the first in the country to treat late-stage alcoholics. De Paul's facilities include its 91-bed adult treatment center in downtown Portland, a 40-bed youth residential and outpatient treatment facility in Northeast Portland and outpatient services in Hillsboro.
