Women of War & Destiny Ministries presents the 2008 Empowerment Conference Saturday, Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Westin Seattle,1900 Fifth Avenue. The event is hosted by Prophetess Diane Coleman, founder and CEO of Women of War and Destiny Ministries. Also speaking are Pastor Kathy Shorter of the Pacific Christian Center Church; Pastor Gwendolyn Phillips Coates, an ordained elder in the AME Church and accomplished vocalist, recording artist, and author of "Waiting on my Lunch Date: A Journey Through Grief and a Path to Joy;" Pastor Helen Orme, founder and pastor of Shekinah Glory Tabernacle, Destiny Learning Center, and Daughters of Destiny, as well as president of the Women's Auxiliary and the Altar/Prayer Ministry of the Pacific NW District Council of the P.A.W.
Guest panelists include Minister Linda F. Beed; author Julia Neufeld; prophetess and speaker Renee Aikens; author and publisher Pastor Catherine Collins of the New Life Faith Church; Rev. Laverne C. Hall of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Music will be by Sam Townsend and the Imani Fellowship Choir.
