Time to Volunteer for Martin Luther King Day Tribute

World Arts Foundation originated and produced Oregon's largest annual salute and celebration of the life of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in 1980. 
Would you like to make a difference?  The World Arts Foundation needs people like you to volunteer energy, skill, and experience to the 24th tribute to Dr. King.   Volunteer jobs will include people management, giving directions and assist in preparation and breakdown of program materials. 
Your day of service will help keep alive the dream of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Complete and return the volunteer form available on the website.
Once they receive your completed volunteer form, you will receive a confirmation notice by an email or telephone (if you do not have access to the internet) contented with necessary information and instructions.  
From 1980 to 1984, "Keep Living the Dream" was in radio show format and broadcast live on the third Monday in January over KBOO radio. 
Since the first King birthday program on KBOO, the station has continued to preempt regular program to provide all-day coverage of the program to thousands of listeners throughout its listening.  
Now themed "Keep Alive the Dream," this tribute continues to produce good will and enhances the education of all people about the greatness of this American icon.  "Keep Alive the Dream" serves as a catalyst for educational discussions, dynamic community forums on wide-ranging social issues, and a reminder of the necessity for individuals and organizations to recognize that we are all "woven together into a single garment of destiny."  It is our commitment to service and vigilance for peace that will ensure each of us a productive, healthy, respected and culturally vibrant community.  World Arts Foundation, Inc. specifically wants to ensure that the broadest range and the largest number of people possible get a chance to be reminded of the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 
Jan. 19, 2009 will mark World Arts Foundation's 24th consecutive tribute to this great American. "Keep Alive the Dream will be held at the Highland Christian Center, 7600 NE Glisan on Monday, Jan. 19, 2009 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
