People-search provider changes practices to resolve Attorney General's investigation

"Go to MyLife.com, the Internet's leading people search site, just type in your name and see if someone is searching for you – for free," proclaimed a television advertisement for Los Angeles-based website MyLife.com.  Unfortunately, according to documents filed today by the Washington State Attorney General's Office, there was nothing free about MyLife.com's services.

A Deputy District Attorney based in North/Northeast Portland, will work with the Albina/Killingsworth street crimes unit

Multnomah County District Attorney's Office has landed a $600,000 grant from the federal Bureau of Justice Assistance: $45,000 a year goes to Eleven:45, the church-led youth violence prevention initiative.
