A memorial service was held at Maranatha Church on Northeast 12^th Avenue Friday, to celebrate the short life of a baby found dead at the North Portland recycling center May 29.  Baby Precious weighed 5 lbs and was hours or days old when she died. Her parents are unknown.

Billy Webbs Elks Lodge hosted the premiere of a new short film from Soul River productions, Wednesday evening. About 50 people turned out to see Conservation Consciousness Runs Deep," and hear from some of the people who made the project happen.

The service will be held at 11 a.m. at Maranatha Church, 4222 Northeast 12th Ave. After that the baby will be interred at Riverview Cemetery, 0300 Southwest Taylors Ferry Road.
