Obituary: Mary C. Harrison

Mary C. Harrison was born Oct. 16, 1931 in Beaumont TX to Joseph Shilow and Gertie Perry Shilow. She graduated from Hebert High, attended Prairie View A&M, and graduated from PCC with a degree in nursing. She held many honors: Dept.. Head P.& S Hospital, Blue Bird Leader, PTA President 1967 Woodlawn School, President OR Assn. of Colored Women, 1993, Easter Star Grand Worthy Matron, 2005. Mary is preceded in death by her husband Shelton Harrison Sr.; She is survived by her daughter Golden Young; sons Ricky Harrison and Shelton Harrison Jr.; brother Barry Burns; 10 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.
