Obituary: Anna B. Black, MSW, Feb 27, 1951 – Jan 17, 2019

Anna B. Black, MSW passed away on Jan. 17, 2019 in her home city of Portland, Ore. She was surrounded by family and close friends. 

Anna grew up in Sheldon, SC with her late parents Susie Jones Black and Daniel Lee Black, along with siblings Daniel Black Jr, Gladys Walker, and Rebecca B. Rivers. She spent her career as a Social Worker for several hospitals and clinics after graduating from Oregon State University and Portland State University. She had a heart for helping women and children.

Anna is survived by her daughters Eno Akpan and Bridgette Barney as well as her grandchildren Joshua Crawford and Ebony Crawford. 

A small gathering of family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, at Crown Memorial in Tualatin, Ore.
