Here’s another gem to add to your bookshelf!
Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson will be telling her story in a new memoir entitled Lovely One, NewsOne reports.
This book will give us insight into her journey from childhood to motherhood and her amazing feat in the U.S. justice system as the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court.
“It will be a transparent accounting of what it takes to rise through the ranks of the legal profession, especially as a woman of color with an unusual name and as a mother and a wife striving to reconcile the demands of a high-profile career with the private needs of my loved ones,” she shared in a statement, according to NewsOne. “My hope is that the fullness of my journey as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, litigator, and friend will stand as a testament for young women, people of color, and dreamers everywhere,” Justice Jackson continued.
No word when the memoir will be released, but we do know it will be published through Random House.
We simply adore Justice Jackson and we can’t wait to read!
