While James finished the game with an impressive 26 points, the Lakers faced a 114-124 defeat against the Denver Nuggets. Despite the setback, the night remained special, celebrating the amazing career of LeBron James.

Already holding the title of the NBA’s all-time leading scorer since last year–after surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s 38,387 career points–James entered the game just nine points away from reaching the 40,000-point mark.
