Miss Black Oregon Talented Teen Coordinates Anti-Bullying Day at Grant High School

Grant High School Student and current Miss Black Oregon Talented Teen, Skylar Pierce-Smith coordinated with Beyond Differences, a national nonprofit, to bring Be The One Day to Grant. Be The One is a student led movement, where student leaders invite other students to "Be The One” and incorporate acts of kindness at school and online. Be The One Day provides an avenue to combat social isolation and bullying.

Skylar is very passionate about promoting her anti-bullying campaign and took the initiative to gather her friends, needed materials, and talk to school officials in order to bring this event to her school, which is scheduled during today's lunch period.
