The Genealogical Forum of Oregon will host a beginners’ boot camp from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 12 at 2505 SE 11th Ave., Suite B-18.
This full day of beginning genealogy will include classes about census and vital records, immigration and naturalization, discussions about genealogy software and database use, organizing research and more. Bring a sack lunch so discussion can continue while participants eat. Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops, but it is not required. GFO members may attend for free, non-members pay $20 at the door.
