The Oregon Assembly for Black Affairs will host its 3rd Quarter Membership / Public Meeting 10:30 am to 1 p.m. Sept. 14 at Irvington Covenant Church, 4026 NE MLK Jr. Blvd. Off-street parking is available.
OABA is a nonpartisan and a nonprofit organization that for more than 40 years has been working to lessen the disconnect among Black Oregonians. The goal is to improve the lives and access to resources of Black people living throughout the State of Oregon with the philosophy: “What benefits Black Oregonian, benefits ALL Oregonians.”
All Oregonians are welcome to work with OABA. Membership is open to all who choose to improve the livability of Oregon.
Individuals and organization will have an opportunity to share projects and literature that explains the work that they are doing on behalf of Black Oregonians. All are encouraged to RSVP so that space will be available. Walk-ins are also okay. Contact: Layla, [email protected] or 503 449-5098 call or text.
Attendees can access the meeting space from 10-10:30 pm to place materials on the tables.
