Washington African American Chamber Launch

The Washington African American Chamber of Commerce (WAACOC) is launching in the western area of the Roy, Washington. The organization’s focus is to advocate, educate and connect African American businesses to available resources. During National Black Business Month, the chamber will launch on Aug. 20, 11 a.m. at Hotel Interurban with keynote speaker Frank Boykin from the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA).

“The WAACOC is committed to targeting African American businesses with the tools and resources they need to succeed in 2023 and beyond,” said Jenefeness Franke, president of the WAACOC western area. “We will advocate on their behalf, educate them about the business landscape, and connect them with potential clients and partners for sustainable growth.”

The WAACOC will offer a variety of programs and services to its members, including:

• Networking opportunities
• Educational workshops
• Business consulting
• Government relations advocacy
• Marketing and promotional assistance
