On March 14, Zora Forsberg was named a princess of this year's court. Zora is a junior at Cleveland High School and expects to graduate next June. After graduation, she will pursue a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and become a therapist.
Zora joins the court representing herself, her school, and her community. She expresses why this opportunity is meaningful for her. "As a kid, I remember seeing all the princesses at the Milk Carton Races and being so amazed. I want to be able to share that joy with all the people in Portland and remind them of how wonderful it is to live in a city with traditions like this one.”
Looking ahead to the Portland Rose Festival, Zora eagerly anticipates her favorite event. “My favorite event is the Milk Carton Boat Race. It's very nostalgic for me, and I love to see everyone's boats and how creative they get with them. I love the sense of community it brings, and how joyful and happy everyone is.”
