Intiman Theatre and the Rev. Patrinell Wright, founder of the internationally acclaimed Total Experience Gospel Choir and a performer with Intiman's holiday show, "Black Nativity: A Gospel Play," are teaming up for two special events.
Wright and Jacqueline Moscou will lead the fourth Black Nativity workshop from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, in the Intiman Studio, 305 Harrison St. in the Seattle Center.
The workshop includes an afternoon of gospel training with Wright, accompanied by musicians and members of the Black Nativity Choir. The workshop is open to singers of all ages, backgrounds and beliefs. Members of local choirs and people who simply love to sing are encouraged to attend.

At 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, Wright will be the subject of an installment of Intiman's interview series, in which artists talk about their work and their craft and answer questions from the audience. The interview and a post-event reception will be on the Intiman Playhouse stage, 201 Mercer St. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by phone at 206-269-1900 or at the Intiman Ticket Office.
Wright has performed "Black Nativity: A Gospel Play," and has created its musical direction and arrangements since its inception in 1998. Since its founding in 1973, the Total Experience Gospel Choir has grown to enjoy national and international prominence, performing in 38 states, 22 countries and five continents, and received more than 150 awards and recognitions.
"Black Nativity" features Wright, the Rev. Samuel McKinney, members of the Total Experience Gospel and Black Nativity choirs, an ensemble of dancers and an on-stage band. "Black Nativity" runs from Nov. 29 through Dec.27 at the Intiman Playhouse.
