The Oregon League of Minority Voters has long advocated for policies that help end poverty. In keeping with that model, the 2009 Dinner of Hope increases this message.
The dinner and Liberty Awards will be held on May 28 at the Oregon Convention Center. Tickets can be purchased online at the league's website www.oregonlmv.org.
During the dinner, the league will be honoring former Oregon governors Vic Atiyeh and Barbara for promoting policies that have positively impacted communities of color.
