Jim Schlotfeldt is the new senior vice president and chief financial officer for Albina Community Bancorp.

Schlotfeldt brings over 20 years' experience in the financial services industry to Albina. A vice-president and chief financial officer of a community credit union for the past eight years, Schlotfeldtwill oversee the bank's accounting, auditing, financial analysis, fiscal reporting and budgeting activities.

Albina Community Bank is one of 51 commercial banks in the country and the only one in Oregon certified by the U.S. Treasury as a community development financial institution. The bank is additionally certified as a minority-owned bank.

Albina is independently and locally owned throughthe Northeast Community Development Trust and individual shareholders in the local community. As a full-service independent commercial bank, Albina provides all the same products and services as any bank, while also maintaining its mission to create jobs, small businesses and wealth in North and Northeast Portland neighborhoods.

The bank operates from four locations: 2002 N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.; 8040 N. Lombard St.; 4020B N.E. Fremont St.; and 430 N.W. 10th Ave. A Rose City office, at 5636 N.E. Sandy Blvd., is scheduled to open May 1.
