The National Newspaper Publishers’ Assoc. Tuesday, March 13, 2018, presented its 2018 Newsmaker award to U. S. Sen. Kamala Harris, (D-CA), in Washington, D.C., during National Black Press Week.
Two NNPA publishers were enshrined Thursday, March 15, 2018 at a ceremony at Metropolitan AME Church. Milton A. Reid, publisher, The Journal and Guide, Norfolk, Virginia, and Mary Ellen Brady, publisher, The Milwaukee Defender, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The plaques will be placed in the Gallery of Distinguished Publishers at Howard University.
