Gary Coleman, the former "Diff'rent Strokes" child comedy star has died in a Utah hospital of brain hemorrhage, after a fall reports the website Radar online. Coleman suffered from kidney disease and a congenital illness that prevented him from growing beyond 4 foot 8 inches. His life was a roller coaster of early success followed by a fall into bankruptcy and depression. He seemed to battle anger also and was arrested for domestic violence and attacking a fan. Appearing on the Geraldo River in 1993 he said he had attempted suicide by overdose three times. But that was not the end of the story for the comedian. He entered the California governor's race, won recognition for his comedy talent and recently had plans for a show based on his life. Video
The website legacy.com has created an online memorial where fans can post remembrances. Coleman's catchline "Whatchu talking 'bout Willis?" drew laughs and imitators in schoolyards and living rooms around the country.
